Introduction

Red Helmet Technology ("we", "us", or "our") operates multiple mobile applications, including but not limited to E4Many, E4M Event Scan (collectively referred to as the "Apps").

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and this Privacy Policy explains how we use and protect your information.

What information do we collect?

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual.

Examples of personal information we collect include:

  • names
  • addresses
  • email addresses
  • phone number
  • usage and device information including your device ID, device type
  • geo-location information (if enabled by user)
  • computer and connection information
  • statistics on page views
  • IP address and standard web log information
  • any additional information relating to you that you provide to us directly through our apps or indirectly through your use of our apps or communicating with us directly

Location Data

By using the Apps, you agree to our use of your location data where applicable.

  • For users of E4Many: When enabled by the user, we collect precise and approximate location data from the users' mobile devices for the purpose of event managers / on-site event operations centre to know the where abouts of users in or around the event site. This also includes when the app is closed or not in use. Your location may also be requested if you wish to supply a report with a custom location, based on your current position.

    If you do not provide the location, you will not be able to use the track me service.

To manage information such as location data, you may disable the tracking functionalities on your Device although the Apps and the services will not operate to full capacity or at all and if you do not provide the location.

Activity Recognition Permissions

  • For users of E4Many: When enabled by the user, we use the sensors available in a device collect data from the users' mobile devices for the purpose of event managers / on-site event operations centre to enhance the understanding of users activity (are they stationary, walking, in a vehicle, on a bike) as they move in or around the event site. This also includes when the app is closed or not in use.

    If you do not provide the activity recognition, you will not be able to use the track me service.

Photo and Video Permissions

  • For users of E4Many: When enabled by the user, we collect photos and videos via the camera or photo picker to support the identification and resolution of event issues. For example, a user can take or attach a photo to help identify the equipment or service that is broken or needs replacing.

How do we collect information?

We collect these types of personal information directly from you or via your account manager. By using the App, Site and Services, you authorise us to collect your information such as your username, name, email address and any other personal information available on or through your use of the App.

We may collect this information when you or your account manager:

  • register, add account information or create a report on our Apps
  • interact with our sites, services, content and advertising.

Why do we collect information?

We collect your personal information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing.

We may also use your personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

When we collect personal information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Sensitive information will be used by us only:

  • For the primary purpose for which it was obtained
  • For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose
  • With your consent; or where required or authorised by law.

Third Parties

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:

  • Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
  • Where required or authorised by law.

Security

Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information.

We retain information you provide to us and which we collect about you, including personal information and personal data, for so long as we continue to provide Services to you and specifically until such time as you request us to delete your personal information and personal data.

Access to your Personal Information

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing. Red Helmet Technology will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information. In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining quality of your personal information

It is an important to us that your personal information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

This Privacy Policy is available on our website at https://e4m.cloud/privacy and within the App itself. It is accessible without the need for any special software or plugins.
